Sustainability Task Force announces Green Liaisons Lunch schedule

1:56 p.m., Sept. 13, 2012–The University of Delaware’s Sustainability Task Force has announced the Green Liaisons Lunch schedule for the 2012-13 academic year.

Once a month, Green Liaisons are invited to attend a lunchtime presentation on the small steps that can be implemented by every student, faculty and staff member in order to make UD a greener place to learn, work and live.

The first Green Liaisons Lunch will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, and will feature Chad Nelson, assistant professor of plant and soil sciences, discussing the Colburn Laboratory green roof project.

The remaining two fall dates are Nov. 9 and Dec. 7.

Lunches are open to all Green Liaisons and will be held in 206 Trabant University Center from 1:15-2:15 p.m. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.

Green Liaisons will also be hosting a free webinar on source water contamination on Sept. 25, from 10-11:30 a.m., in 202 Old College. More information about the webinar can be found on the Green Liaisons website.
