National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals makes first full project call

The National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL), the Manufacturing USA institute headquartered at UD, is pleased to announce it has released its first full project call. Project Call 1.0 requests proposals that address technology and/or workforce development issues in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

NIIMBL fosters collaboration between industry, academia and federal agencies in developing innovative technologies to advance U.S. biopharmaceutical manufacturing. In addition to new technologies, NIIMBL also addresses workforce development issues and supports the development of standards that enable more efficient manufacturing capabilities.

As part of Project Call 1.0, NIIMBL plans to make up to $8 million available to fund multiple projects. Proposals are permitted a maximum project duration of 18 months, may request up to $1 million per year in NIIMBL funds, and have a cost share requirement, which is based on the total funding requested.  UD investigators can request cost share resources in addition to cost share from their college or department.
